Located in Sammamish, Wa, I build functional, timeless furniture for everyday use. Inspired by vernacular furniture, my designs are based off of historical furniture pieces that have been used for centuries. Combining simple beauty with function is my goal for each design. Every piece is shaped and finished with traditional hand tools such as spokeshaves, hand planes and rasps that add warmth manufactured furniture lacks.

I began making furniture in 2020 with a small set of hand tools and a big passion to create. Each piece is designed and crafted with a lifetime of use in mind. The joinery is strengthened with wedged or pinned tenons and hide glue. Unlike modern glue, hide glue is reversible and was historically used on furniture, allowing for quality repairs on antique furniture. The materials used are carefully selected; I source locally harvested timber from sustainable forests and use soft wax, soap, oil, and linseed oil paint for finishes. Often found on antique furniture, these finishes show off a lovely patina and warmth that develops with age. The finishes can be reapplied and contain no dangerous solvents, making touch ups in the future safe and simple.
